Samdruptse

In Bhutia (Sikkim language) Samdruptse means "wish fulfilling hill". At samdruptse 135 ft high tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava in the world is available. It is located on a soaring hilltop, 7.5 km from the marketplace, the spot also offers some spectacular sights. One can also catch some fabulous sunrise and sunset on this hill. The foundation stone of the landmark was laid by H.H. the Dalai Lama in October 1997 and the enormous statue was finally completed and consecrated in November 2003.

During our tour this statue was under repairing. So entries were restricted upto statue.
