This is one of the peak point of the Western Ghat. Which is situated near by Hosa Nagar Taluqa in Shimoga District of West Karnataka. Kodchadri also known as the Kutachadri or Kodashi Parvatha.
Kodchadri is always attracting to the trekking lovers. This is a moderate type of trekking.
Here several flora and fauna species are available. This forest is Shola forest type where mostly home for the King Cobra, Tiger, Panther, Pigeon and Malbar hornbill. Next to the Kodchadri peak Chitrmoola forest is available, from this peak only we can see the Arebian Sea, Kollur Mookambika Temple and Sharavathi backwater.

Upto to kollur you can reach by the State Transport buses or Private buses and from there you catch a bus which going towards the Nagara

Scenes : This is a temple which is situated at the top of the Kodchadri peak, nearby to which Public Work Department (PWD) building is situated so that during night time we can stay there. For starting the Trekking towards the Kodchadri peak there are lot of ways. Our trekking organizer Anilkumar P K has selected the way which go through the waterfall. That was the amazing to see the waterfall during our trekking.
Like this lot of hurdles you have to cross to reach the Kodchadri peak. Initial half of the way is most steep which is cumbersome to climb. While climbing and getting down your legs will pain more. So that better if you carry the pain-killer sprays like Moov.
